here are my concept sketches to try and find a villan or nemesis for my character, i've tried to go for a variety of different villans possible im going to try narrow it down and pick my bad guy/monster.

I've been looking at the specific style that cartoon network uses on such cartoons as dexter and deedee, powerpuff girls etc, i've done a series of boy characters that i've created to help me narrow down the specific type of character i want.

i previously done quick sketches of my young boy character but that was only to define the proportions of what the character will look like in the future, bascially i was tryning to get an idea of how it might look.
I've been doing research on a french artist that works in anime style and im going to try and develop my character into he's style or show some sort of conversion between my character and he's style.

here's the thumbnails of my story, the plot has changed slightly with the kid playing a game then getting told off by he's mum to do he's homework but its pretty much the same concept to before.

Final Decision on story idea

ok after careful consideration i've changed my idea once more and finalised it by taking out bits and pieces of the story that were unnecesary and that would become time consuming for me.
so my story starts of with my character (a young boy) who is grounded for not doing he's homework and is told to finish he's work by he's mother, Rather then doing what he's told he's dozes off to play games just like all kids while he plays along the letters and maths sums from he's homework book start to crawl out of he's book and gradually become a monster created by equations and words.

The monster starts to chase him around he's room and as the chase pursues the boy slips and falls which allows the monster to catch up to him, Just as the monster reaches to grab him, the boy yells out an multipication sum which blows off 1 of the monsters arms.
The boy then realizes that by giving answers to maths problems and doing addition he can defeat the monster, so one after another he throws maths sums at the monster which eventually obiliterates the monster.
the boy realizes that if he actually put he's mind to it from the start he could have done he's homework with ease.

The message im trying to give is "Knowledge is power"

this is the module and first version of my character, The final version of my character should look something similar but more developed in the aspect of detail, proportions and style.

Here's what i've come up with so far with my story, my character is a young boy who is sleeping in bed and is suddenly woken up by a melody that catches he's attention which he then seeks to try and find where this sound is coming from.
he's search for the music sends him underneath he's bed where he falls into the abyss then finding himself in a mysterious land with a route leading to a caste on the top of a hill where the music seems to come from.
he enters the castle in search of the sound and finds a wizards wond and hat he decides to wear the hat and use the wond which is making these noises and from there on wards im looking to create an animation piece similair to fantasia, but after the kid causes several objects to move and make things you normally can't he is woken up by he's mother to realise he was sleeping all along.
when he goes back to sleep he finds the wond underneath he's pillow leaving him in doubt where or not the dream was real or not.

i was going through some old books and i came across Maurice Sendak's "where the wild things are" childrens picture book, The book is about the imaginary adventures of a young boy named Max, who is punished for "making mischief" by being sent to his room without supper. Max wears a distinctive wolf suit during his adventures and encounters various mythical creatures, the wild things.

currently im thinking of creating and animation following the path of Maurice Sendak's theme where a kid's imaginationtakes over and makes him/her see things that aren't real or things lets tsay that adults can't see lol

i'll post some images of the the illustration to show you guys what i mean
